Nitrile Rubber is a flexible as well as lightweight elastomeric nitrile foam material that is designed primarily for thermal insulation purposes. These Nitrile Rubber Insulation are generally black in color but can also be made available in a wide variety of colors as per the request of the customers. Available in tubing or sheet form, foam rubber insulation self-adhesive tapes are also part of product line. These extruded flexible tubing are specially designed to fit standard diameters of steel & copper piping. Further, the sheets are available in standard pre-cut sizes or in roll forms.
Nitrile Rubber, also known as Buna-N, Perbunan, or NBR, is a synthetic rubber copolymer of acrylonitrile (ACN) and butadiene. Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) is a family of unsaturated copolymers of 2-propenenitrile and various butadiene monomers (1,2-butadiene and 1,3-butadiene). Although its physical and chemical properties vary depending on the polymer’s composition of nitrile, this form of synthetic rubber is generally resistant to oil, fuel, and other chemicals the more nitrile within the polymer, the higher the resistance to oils but the lower the flexibility of the material.
Nitrile Rubber insulation is most commonly used in cold works for applications such as refrigeration a frost protection and also used as expanded rubber products for automotive, industrial, sports, leisure, packaging and a wide range of custom applications. Nitrile insulation is quick and easy to apply and is available in tubular form as well as sheet for in a range of sizes to suit pipework and equipment.
